The problem
I wanted to see if I could build an editorial product site in the style of Uncrate, Cool Hunting, or Curated Supply. The important part was choosing and writing about each product myself instead of filling the site with scraped listings.
About
I spent years working in restaurants and bars, where unreliable tools become a problem quickly. I wrote about kitchen gear, pantry staples, and travel items I had actually used.
The site began as a place to keep track of things I found while traveling. It gradually became a catalog I could share when someone asked for a recommendation.

Let it wind down
I built the site I had in mind, but keeping an editorial catalog useful requires steady research and writing. My other products now need that time more, so Wandering Bacon will probably be retired. Leaving it online forever would be easier; choosing where not to spend time is part of managing a portfolio too.
