1. What PromoMath is
PromoMath is a planning tool for Shopify merchants. It reads the prices and Cost per item already saved in your store, applies the discount you enter, and shows whether each variant would stay above the minimum gross margin you set. It also shows the largest discount each variant can take while holding that margin.
PromoMath does not change prices, create or schedule discounts, edit products, manage inventory, or publish anything to your store. It is not accounting software, not a profit or sales report, and does not use artificial intelligence to make its calculations.
2. Who can use it
You need an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it. Use PromoMath only for a store you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for anyone who uses the app through your store's staff accounts. Shopify's own terms also apply to your use of the Shopify platform and the App Store.
3. Subscription, free trial, and billing
PromoMath is a paid app: $9/month, with a 7-day free trial. Shopify App Pricing handles the subscription and the charge appears on your Shopify invoice. You are not charged during the trial. When the trial ends the subscription begins automatically unless you have uninstalled the app. Prices may change; we will give notice in the app before a change takes effect, and the new price applies from your next billing cycle after that notice.
4. Cancellation and refunds
To cancel, uninstall PromoMath from your Shopify admin. Shopify stops the subscription at that point. Shopify handles any refund under its own app billing rules, and we will cooperate with reasonable requests made through Shopify.
5. Your data and your responsibilities
Every number PromoMath shows depends on the data in your Shopify store. You are responsible for keeping prices and Cost per item accurate and up to date. If a cost is missing, stale, or wrong, the result will be wrong too. Shipping, payment processing fees, duties, returns, labor, and other costs are not included unless you have built them into your Cost per item.
You are responsible for checking the results before you launch a sale, and for the pricing decisions you make. Our Privacy Policy explains what the app reads and stores.
6. Results are informational
PromoMath's calculations are provided for information and planning only. They are not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and they are not a promise of profit, sales, or any other business result. A variant marked Safe can still lose money if the underlying data is wrong or your real costs are higher than the Cost per item recorded in Shopify.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use PromoMath to break the law, to interfere with Shopify or with other merchants, or to send it unreasonable volumes of requests. Do not copy, resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer the app, and do not try to get around the subscription check.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep PromoMath running, but it depends on Shopify and on hosting providers, and there may be interruptions, maintenance, or errors. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may withdraw the app from the App Store. If we withdraw it, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
9. Intellectual property
PromoMath, including its code, design, name, and icon, belongs to JPM Inc. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your store while your subscription or trial is active. Your store data remains yours.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
PromoMath is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, JPM Inc is not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, PromoMath, even if we were told such loss was possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for PromoMath in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Termination
You can end these terms at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if Shopify requires it, or if the app is withdrawn. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use PromoMath after a change means you accept the new terms.
