Proof for iPhone

Support

Something not working? Email james@jamesmckinney.xyz. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Proof version, and what you expected to happen. Please leave private belief or proof text out of the message unless it is necessary to explain the problem.

Restore a subscription

Open Proof, go to Settings, and choose Restore purchases. Make sure the iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. If Apple shows an active subscription but Proof does not, email support with the error message. Do not send a full receipt or payment details.

Cancel or change a subscription

Apple manages Proof subscriptions. Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, then choose Proof. Deleting Proof does not cancel a subscription.

A rewrite is unavailable

Apple's on-device language model is available only on supported devices and languages with Apple Intelligence ready. Proof should offer its guided rewrite when the model is unavailable. If it does not, close and reopen the app, then send the device and iOS details to support.

Reminders are not arriving

In iPhone Settings, open Notifications, choose Proof, and allow notifications. Then return to Proof Settings and turn the daily reminder off and on again. Reminder previews use generic wording and do not display your belief or proof text.

Hide a belief in widgets

In Proof Settings, turn off Show belief in widgets. The widget will show a private prompt instead. If it does not update right away, open Proof once, then wait a moment for iOS to refresh the widget.

Delete your Proof data

Open Proof Settings and choose Delete all Proof data. This removes beliefs, revisions, proof entries, reminders, and widget content from that iPhone. It does not cancel a subscription.
